Luminis
A lantern to be an extension of the home and of the body. The lantern would function both as a table lamp and a portable light source to decrease general lighting usage at night and guide your path.

Identifying the basic building blocks and components that were necessary to align with the design principles and typology of a lantern.
Augmented Reality
Utilizing Augmented Reality, I was able to look at a wide variety of forms and scales by placing them on a table and viewing them in context with a real environment. Using my physical lantern prototype, I was able to scale the models appropriately.
Through this process, I was quickly able to look at a wide variety and gain feedback efficiently. I then validated it with 3D printed and cardboard physical models.
