As a Product Design Major, I long for the process of creating. I believe products should embrace new industry techniques while still holding onto the age-old hands-on processes.
I'm inspired by the lost techniques and masterful skills people used to be capable of. If artisans were able to create such intricate detailing all by hand without many advanced tools, what are we able to do today with the resources available? I believe in honest craftsmanship and the exploration of skills to create artistically interesting products.
Moving into the modern world as product designers, we must be conscious about the materials we put into the world. Things made for the past few centuries never had the synthetic materials we have today, but they were able to make products that stand the test of time. Using what we have access to today, we don't need to rely on cheap plastics to only be disposed of later but create something that is memorable enough to hold onto.
I love getting my hands on the materials. Ever since I was young, I have always kept my hands busy making things. Creating was my outlet as a restless child, and even today as I start a project, I think about nothing else but getting the job done.

I am a maker. I have been creating art my entire life, I've gotten my hands in dirt landscaping, back problems from construction, knowledge from stone masonry, fine detailing from leather crafts, and a constant strive to learn more.
I want to build my tool set, fascinated by the built environment, I have an understanding that everything around me was made and designed by someone using their unique skill set. I am intrigued by the meticulous techniques and details that most overlook.
In my free time, I am an athlete. I want to push the limits of human potential. It's the essence of what someone is truly capable of when they fine-tune the human body.

I've been doing parkour since 2012, professional tag since 2020, and rock climbing since 2022. I have competed in the World Chase Tag championships and am a two-time national champ and the world champion and MVP in World Chase Tag 5. I love the art of movement and hope to fulfill that love as long as I am able.

Growing up surrounded by nature in Costa Rica and in Colorado, I've grown fond of embracing the outdoors and all of its natural beauty. Going out in the wild is a reflection of the miracles the world would hold without us.
