Trained as an Industrial Designer and maker. I have a long history of working with my hands and love to indulge in the process of creation. My philosophy sees design as the cross between art and science. Subjectivity must be balanced within a rigorous framework and thorough testing to validate any design decision. Intention is at the heart of my work believing that story and process is what gives life and soul to an object. I want to create designed objects made of natural materials accessible to everyone.
In the beginning of 2025, along with my brother, I Co-Founded BY J.WU. A brand as a reflection of our values and our family. Where my design practice became real. What started as an idea evolved into a hands-on process of designing, sourcing, prototyping, and producing objects meant to be used every day. Working across home and apparel, I was involved in every stage, learning how materials behave, how products come together, and how early decisions carry through to production.

The experience shaped how I think about design today. Practical, material-driven, and grounded in execution. I care about honest construction, clear intent, and building things that last. BY J.WU continues to inform my approach, balancing craft and constraint, intuition and discipline, and staying close to the work itself.
