THE CARRIER COLLECTION

2026

Our clothing is the result of approaching fashion through the lens of product design with a strong emphasis on textiles and form. We want to wear clothes that will look as good today as they will 50 years from now and still be able to perform at the highest level in our favorite activity: Life. We believe in wearing your clothes hard and having them work for you, not the other way around.

We found inspiration from the industry-specific workwear of early 20th century America to design the Carrier

Collection. Different professions called for different details on their garments to fit their needs. However, they were designed for a different time period with designs fit for a carpenter, rail road engineer, or cowboy. We set out to design a jacket that had the heritage of vintage workwear but adapted the details to fit a modern context.

The fabric comes from storied American textile mill Mount Vernon using Texas-grown cotton which is then spun and woven in South Carolina. We then had it dyed in New Jersey then sewn in NYC making this a proud USA made garment.

THE CARRIER JACKET

The Carrier Jacket is designed after referencing classic American workwear staples. From the

short body of trucker jackets, to the hunter’s game pocket in the back, we took details from popular silhouettes to create something new yet familiar that can hold up if you want to work hard or play rough. Designed with a boxy fit that sits at the hip, it features two chest pockets, roomy front patch pockets and a large back pocket.

Cut and sewn in the USA from 12oz cotton canvas from Mount Vernon Mills, — grown in Texas, woven in South Carolina, finished in New Jersey, and sewn in New York. Designed to fit in the context of a modern urban environment but able to work wherever you need to go.

RESEARCH

Approaching the design from a product design perspective, we sought out to design a tool. Work wear garments were always a representation of the trade it was made for. We began by researching different traditional use cases and ideated on a variety of designs of how we would solve for different scenarios.

IDEATION 01

A jacket can be designed a million different ways. We focused on how the jacket would be used and what it would hold to influence the design. Similar to work wear of yore, we ideated with purpose and intention.

IDEATION 02

Understanding our constraints, we designed possibilities within these new rules. What would it hold, how it would it function, what do we already know? We designed practically and for the extremes.

PROTOTYPE

Focusing on the use, we tested large patch pockets that could accommodate a wide variety of our needs that we outlined. Through field testing, the design matched many of the requirements we sought after while taking inspiration from trucker jackets and hunting game jackets. We explored hand position in relation to the torso to see how the arms naturally rest on the human body.

IDEATION 03

Understanding the typology we wanted to proceed with, we explored how different variations could be constructed and used. Even the slightest variations needed to be visualized.

COLOR

Many designers begin with a fabric then transition into designing around that fabric. After looking at domestic textile production, we examined a variety of materials and ultimately landed on a 12oz cotton canvas. A textile aligned with our collection of lighting while being the original technical fabric, tried and true throughout history as a durable weave. Grown in Texas and milled in South Carolina, it's a fully American made textile with one problem...undyed. We sought after the color of fresh winter earth to then have it dyed locally in New Jersey.

THE CARRIER PANTS
THE CARRIER PANTS

Designed after vintage workwear staples, we designed the Carrier Pants with a patch pocket that led into the double-knee reinforcement creating a simple and efficient solution to storage and durability. The pockets wrap around to the back and are separated by a side seam making for 4 large drop in pockets plus a fifth side-leg utility pocket. These full fitting pants are rugged and ready to be put to work but are also roomy and comfortable, perfect for long walks around the park or a chill run to the farmer’s market.

INSPIRATION

The design of the Carrier Pants came after the development of the Carrier Jacket. Understanding the existing typology, we wanted to create a cohesive pairing. Inspired by a pair of 1970's Carhartt double knees, we adapted the design to accomodate using a singular material throughout the garment.

CARRIER SUIT

The Carrier Suit is the ultimate expression of the "clothing as a tool" philosophy. By pairing the boxy, functional silhouette of the Carrier Jacket with the rugged, high-capacity Carrier Pants, this uniform creates a cohesive system for modern life. It eliminates the friction between workwear and daily wear, offering a unified look that is as comfortable in a design studio as it is on a demanding job site.

Crafted from the same 12oz Mount Vernon cotton canvas, the suit is designed to age in tandem, developing a unique patina that tells the story of how you move and work.

The Carrier Suit stands for Purposeful Versatility.

  • Modern Heritage: It honors the 20th-century American worker by adapting vintage silhouettes for the 21st-century urban environment.

  • Utility: It views the wearer as a "carrier" of ideas and tools, providing the storage and durability needed to perform at the highest level in the activity of "Life."

  • Domestic Integrity: Every stitch represents a commitment to local craftsmanship, from Texas-grown cotton to New York City construction, ensuring the garment is as durable as the culture that inspired it
